Benefits of Using an Online Integrity Test for Employers

When interviewing candidates for a certain position, the fear of the unknown is common. In interviews, job applicants generally paint the best possible picture of themselves, which makes it hard to decipher long-term fit from an interview process that gives employers only a glimpse into someone's true character.

Personnel theft, particularly in list and service industries, costs businesses millions of dollars per year. Employers are taking more steps in the hiring process so as to prevent potential thefts or damaging manners by employees in the future due to growing difficulty of detecting thievery.

Online integrity tests are one software employers can use to higher screen applicants when attempting to fill a position. Online integrity tests ask applicants questions regarding honesty, their views on thievery of company property, previous drug use, workplace integrity, attitudes towards past employers and co-workers, willingness to follow instructions, and issues with anger. Online integrity tests can help employers not only find out about the past drug use of a candidate, however also find out about that candidates views on using drugs or gambling in work such as coming to work while under the influence. This knowledge can be invaluable when trying to figure out the best fit for a company amongst multiple similar applicants.

Businesses that use online integrity tests typically pay an outside company to administer the tests to make sure that they are done fairly and to prevent the company itself through any liability. Though it is actually costly, it ensures a great work flow system.
